About Corneille
Corneille (1922–2010), whose real name was Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo, was a co-founder of the international CoBrA movement and is regarded as one of the most significant European artists of the post-war modernist period. His works are characterised by intense colours, expressive forms and recurring motifs such as women, cats, birds and landscapes. Original lithographs signed by the artist from his later creative years are particularly sought after by collectors and combine Corneille’s unmistakable visual language with high-quality printmaking.
