Montblanc Noblesse – gold-plated vintage ballpoint pen with guilloché decoration, 1970s–1980s

This elegant Montblanc Noblesse ballpoint pen dates from the 1970s to the 1980s and is a classic example of the high-quality writing instrument design associated with the German luxury brand. The slender, cylindrical barrel, crafted from gold-plated metal, features a delicate guilloché pattern with vertical lines, lending the pen an elegant texture and a timeless look.

Characteristic features of this model include its slender silhouette, the faceted top cap and the smooth clip engraved with the Montblanc logo. The polished, gold-coloured tip provides a harmonious contrast to the textured surface of the barrel. The classic push-button mechanism allows the ballpoint refill to be extended and retracted.

Measuring 13.9 cm in length and just 0.8 cm in diameter, the Noblesse is particularly slender in design. The combination of gold-plated metal, fine guilloché work and clean geometric shapes makes it a distinctive writing instrument of its era.

The ballpoint pen is in good, used vintage condition. The gold plating appears even and shiny, with no noticeable major signs of wear. There are only minor marks due to age and use, as well as slight scratches on the clip and the top end. No major dents or impact damage are visible.

The push-button mechanism is in working order and a refill is fitted. The ballpoint pen is offered without its original box or documentation.

About Montblanc and the Noblesse Collection

Montblanc was founded in Hamburg in 1906 and is one of the best-known manufacturers of high-quality writing instruments. The brand stands for classic design, meticulous craftsmanship and a long tradition in the development of exclusive fountain pens, ballpoint pens and other writing instruments.

The Noblesse Collection became particularly well-known for its slender metal barrels and its elegant, minimalist design language. In contrast to the more voluminous Meisterstück models, Montblanc opted for clean lines, delicate proportions and a variety of decorative metal finishes in the Noblesse series.

This gold-plated Montblanc Noblesse ballpoint pen with guilloché decoration is a characteristic example of writing instrument design from the 1970s and 1980s. The finely textured surface, the slender shape and the classic push-button mechanism make it an interesting collector’s item for enthusiasts of historic Montblanc writing instruments.
