This large-format lithograph, ‘Fantaisie de St. Pétersbourg’, by Marc Chagall (1887–1985) was produced in 1969 by the renowned Parisian print shop Mourlot. The work was published as a double-page lithograph and showcases Chagall’s distinctive visual language, which impressively combines fantasy, memory and symbolism. The lithograph is unsigned and is in very good overall condition. There is a central fold crease with minor indentations; however, this does not significantly detract from the motif and is practically invisible from the front once framed.
