Special notes

  • Historical origins: The Louis Vuitton Keepall was launched in 1930 and is one of the brand’s most famous travel bags.
  • Keepall vs. Keepall Bandoulière: The classic Keepall has two handles. The Bandoulière version also features a detachable shoulder strap.
  • Size designation: The numbers 45, 50, 55 and 60 refer approximately to the width of the bag in centimetres.
  • Hand luggage: The Keepall 45 complies with many hand luggage regulations. For the 50 and 55 sizes, this depends on the individual airline.
  • Flexible material: Thanks to its soft construction, the Keepall can be folded away to save space when not in use.
  • Vachetta patina: On classic Monogram models, the light-coloured natural leather darkens over time and develops a unique patina.
  • Vintage models: When purchasing second-hand Keepall bags, particular attention should be paid to the leather handles, corners, zips, edging and, where applicable, the shoulder strap attachments.
  • Accessories: Many models were sold with a luggage tag, a poignée (handle holder) and, in some cases, a lock with keys. The actual contents of the package may vary.
  • Model differences: Dimensions, materials, Hardware and features may vary depending on the year of manufacture, collection and version.
